Had to buy the Volkl Mantra 2008′s after I heard so many positive things about them. This is one, all-around winner. It’s simply perfect for gracefully gliding over all conditions. Amazing grip, Fast cruising they don’t deflect at all, stays perfectly on course.

They performed exceptionally well in powder, moguls and icy conditions. Cuts through chopped pow like it was groomed. The Volkl Mantra features a wide waist for stability and fantastic precision. Very highly recommended.

Volkyl Mantra177s are, very stable for aggressive skiing. These skis maneuver beautifully through Powder, softpack or crud. Durable sensor wood core and double titanium construction. This ski does really well in all Terrain. I love this ski, it’s Really fun and I highly recommend.

Bought the 184s and it’s perfect. you are guarenteed to like these skis.I have used them skinning, not too heavy. Extra float provided by this longer ski. Smooth ride and sidecuts that offer gripping performance. Light weight, Pretty easy to carry them around daily.

I have skied powder, junk, groomed and solid ice. Simply love its easy-handling and great speed. It’s fat enough to float in the fluff, carves like a racing ski on the groomers, As yet, I haven’t found a thing to complain about Volkl. Mantra 2008, is an all-purpose ski designed for speed and stability and Durability.

Super stable over almost every type of snow. The Mantras move nicely through soft bumps of any size. I love the feeling they have on from groomers to deep powder. Great all-purpose setup. You simply can’t go wrong with Volkl’s Mantra 2008 Freeride skis….

Durable, Lightweight, Good Carving Ability. Mantra 2008 is one of the best all-purpose skis around! The side cut allows to ride through crud and still float through the powder holding up very well.

They carve and hold edge. The ski can ride like a race ski on mountain but always keep you up in the powder. If you are looking for a carver then go for the shorter Mantra 177 cm which offers excellent grip even for high speed turns.

The Mantra is, simply the best all round ski for all types of skiers. This ski is truly All-Terrain. Weaves it’s magic on all types of snow. Powder, crud, bumps, even hardpack is no problem for this Mantra. Quick and light weight enough to take on even the tightest trees with ease. New skiers feel comfortable with this superb all mountain twin tip Mantra’s stability !

VOLKL MANTRA SKIS 2008 Technology
Tough Box Technology — Each wooden core is given extra strength by a 4×4 FiberWrap covering. In order to obtain maximum load in all directions, several layers of thin and highly durable fiberglass bands are wrapped around the core in a cross pattern. This construction allows the binding screws to be anchored even more securely into the skis and guarantee a firm hold even under extreme conditions.
