Volkl Men’s Wall Skis

Catching big air and doing tricks, these things are all in a day’s work with the hardcore Volkl Men’s Wall Skis. Best used on backcountry areas, the Volkl Men’s Wall Skis leaves the competition far behind with its center width design and equal measurements on the tip and tail. With this design, it gives the ski board better and improved flotation ability on heavy snow terrains.

Designed for the freestyle skier, tricks have never been easier to pull until the Wall Skis came along. Built from materials that give it extra rigidity, you can practice with it anytime, anywhere, in any snow condition without worrying about damages that might render your board useless.

The Volkl Men’s Wall Ski’s sidecut measurements are 115mm / 87mm / 115mm (tip / waist / tail), with all sizes sharing the same sidecut measurements. Its wide-waist design gives it more control than other wide-waisted boards, giving it the ability to easily ride on powder snow conditions. The board is available on two sizes; 169cm, and 177cm. The board’s turn radius is measured at 18.2m at 169cm length, which is surprisingly small for such a big board, but makes the board ideal for narrow paths, where it is required to make smaller turns.

The Volkl Men’s Wall Ski is made from the same construction as the Bridge Ski: Power / Tough Box construction. This construction gives the board the capability to withstand hard landings, as well as hard bumps on the mountain terrains. The Tough Box enhancement further improves the rigidity of the board by equipping the board with fiberglass strands around its core material. Its core material is also made from Sensorwood, which is made from processed poplar and beech wood, making the edges more rigid, and the power transmission more efficient. Lightweight Carbon stringers make the board tougher, but not making it anymore heavier.

The board is also equipped with vibration-dampening materials, which acts as a shock absorber, absorbing the impact produced when the board hits a rock or hard ice. This is strategically placed within the different sections of the board, with more on the tip. This is especially useful when going downhill on a rocky, bumpy mountain terrain.

The Volkl Men’s Wall Ski does not come with its own Integrated Binding System, or its own binding set. You can use your favorite brand of bindings, but Volkl recommends the use of Salomon’s Z12 TI Ski Bindings. While the board can hold enough on its own, extra durability provided by the Z12 TI Ski Bindings wouldn’t hurt, and it also gives the skier the comfort they need while skiing downhill.

Experienced skiers praise the Vokl Men’s Wall Skis for being extremely easy to do tricks with. Catching big air and doing complex tricks have never been this easier. This board is recommended for skiers who want to spend equal time on park terrains, and downhill skiing.
