What the hell is wrong with my Xbox 360?

I just turned it on and instead of it having 4 green flashing lights, it has 3 red flashing lights. Plus it said something about E 74. I called the Xbox company and they said it was something I could fix myself but I kept trying and I’m getting really pissed off. I hope I don’t have to buy another one because I got this one for Christmas last year. What can I do to fix it?

  1. We had the same problem, and we did fix it ourselves, and it’s working great! But you can also call 1-800-4my-xbox and even if it’s out of warranty they will fix that problem because it is their fault. Just call it and you will see. But either way, good luck and God bless!

  2. download this guide and fix the 3 red light error. it’ll take about 2 hours but you’ll be gaming again sooner than sending it to microsoft

    good luck

  3. you can not fix E 74 yourself as soon as you break your seals you void your warranty!

I suggest you turn if off turn it back on and if you still have the 3 red lights call Microsoft Again because if you are still within warranty you have to send it to microsoft for REPAIR! They MUST pay to fix/ replace it.

You have the RROD.Red Ring of Death it is supposed to be covered for 3 years from date of purchase,

.RROD = includes the E 74 catastrophic hardware failure that turns your system into a paperweight

  4. Ok I went to the Xbox 360 website and says u have to verify, try 1st time, if E 74 then turn it off, 2nd time if still E 74, im very very sorry then, the bad news is your hardware is experiencing a hardware failure. You will have to go to the shop where you got your Xbox then ask for help. if not call the Xbox 360 costumer support, since they said you could fix your self, they will be wrong, you have to open up your whole Xbox then open your hardware and more impossible stuff. Hoped i help = <-- unhappy because you have to replace your Xbox 360 🙁
