If you replace your PS3’s hardware with a 250GB one, would you lose your memory or could you transfer it?

Your PS3 memory, PS2 memory, music, etc.
Update 2:
Game saves.

  1. Yes, you will lose all your data and everything because the hard drive is the main place where you store all your stuff.

  2. The PS3 Hard Drive.

    You can transfer all information on the current to an external hard drive when ever you like.

    There is a Backup option in the system settings.

    Once done you can install the new 250GB hard drive, your videos and game saves and so on will be safe.

    If you don’t have a external hard drive just use a USB Flash Drive for your game saves.
