You can either send it into a repair shop and they will replace it for you, or you can get a hold of another ps3 of the same model, and take the whole entire mini board out(the one with the usb ports & blue tooth chip on it), that sits in front of the power supply unit. It really is a pretty simple matter of replacing that part. For most models anyway.

    You will, however, need to remove the power supply to take it out with most models. Some models will require that you even remove the motherboard too, but hopefully that isn’t the case for you.

    I only have experience taking the old fat models apart though.
