My xbox 360 is broke (red ring of death) but still under garuntee?


Ok my xbox had the red ring of death and now it does not work, I am taking it back tomorrow, will I get an instant replacement / money back, or will it have to go to microsoft and take a while to repair?

  1. You will have to get it fixed correctly though MS. Here are the instructions form the MS Site:

  2. If it’s under a year old then the warranty should be with the shop. (Not of merchandisable quality). Then they have to get you an instant replacement/money back. If over the year then MS are the people to call:

    UK: 0800 587 1102

    Ireland: 1 800 509 186

    USA: 1-800-4MY-XBOX

  3. Yes if you are still under grantee there shouldn’t be a problem with you getting a Replacement, if there is though taking it to microsoft is free and they usually replace it with a new one but as long as you haven’t attempted you open/repair it yourself there shouldn’t be a problem.
