Top 10 Dance Scenes in Dance Movies

  1. I really don't understand what is so great about John Wick 2. The first one at least had three cool fight sequences, this one only had one. The story is average, just like before, the characters are one dimensional, just like before, some scenes are filler just like before. Except John Wick was an original concept and had a certain feel to it, the sequel doesn't really make any changes. There is an attempt at world building, and that is perhaps the only thing the movie brings to the table.

  2. Logan = give people a few lines of meaningful dialogue in a shitty superhero movie and they think it's a masterpiece.

  3. I thought most of the movies on this list were just, "pretty-good." But, Split was fantastic. A "thriller" which delves deep into the analytics & philosophy regarding the human-psyche, and McAvoy delivers a memorable & hair-raising performance. Best movie on this list.

  4. Wick 2 was pretty stylish, taut and better made than I expected. A slick action flick. However, it's still just a glorified slayfest. Before the end I was hoping that it was all a paranoid delusion and that the film might explore this as a view into Wicks disintegrating psychosis. Thinking this made me feel better for having watched it – otherwise the 'hero' was just another murderous bastard who should have suicided at the start to save an egregious bodycount. "I'll kill them all".

"Tell him he's dreamin'" (apologies to the castle)

  5. – some movies are funny. but some movie directors , they have mental issues or coming from a dark hole . p.s. hollywood a disaster for the mental aspect.

  6. singing in the rain to me isnt a dance he's singing and walking in the rain jumping on props once in a while. dirty dancing should have been number one

  7. I agree that "Singin' in the Rain" is a great dance scene, but I would also include the barn dance from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

  8. If people did this MORE, they'd be happier than the drama they create on facebook and on phones.  Give your gadgets a break and get together and have some damn fun!

  9. I'm… not overly impressed with the list, honestly. Some are amazing, like "Footloose" and "West Side Story," but others… well, to each their own, I guess. I would've made the list longer than just 10, though. And included things like "RENT" and "Sound of Music."

  10. No honorable mention for High School Musical. I know that it doesn't match up to most of the movies on the list but its defiantly better than Step Up 2. It remains one of the most popular Disney Channel movies and is remembered by everyone in its generation

  11. Kiss Me Kate "From this moment on" sequence is still one of my all time favorites. I happened to talk to Ann Miller in a wig shop back in the 80's. I was there for Halloween costume stuff, but she was there to pick up a wig she had made for her.
She was old but, still wore blue eyeshadow, blush and lips. She was surprised that I knew who she was. She said " I don't mind getting older or being sick. I do miss my beautiful hair". She was bald as she was trying on her new wig and asked me what I thought. It was a short cut wig of black human hair( fancy for the 80's) I said it looked great and suited her. In true form she said "It should, it cost me enough!" With that we laughed and we said our goodbye. She was just a real nice lady.

  12. Needs to be separated. Group Dances / Couple Dances / Solo Dances.
Honorable Mentions.. Group, "Take the Lead" 3 to Tango / Couple, "Scent of a Woman" / Solo, "Save the Last Dance"

  13. How could you leave out the Nicholas Brothers performance in Stormy Weather? Fred Astaire himself said it was the greatest dance sequence ever filmed.
