Dynastar Skis

Dynastar Skis is not your ordinary ski board. They are fast, speedy and will leave the others in the dust.

Are you the aggressive type of skier? Are you the one that prefers speed and power above everything else? Do you want to feel the need for speed? If so, the Dynastar skis might be to your liking. Designed especially for downhill skiing, the Dynastar skis will leave the competition in the dust.

Dynastar is a winter sports company located in Sallanches, France. The company was established in 1963, when a company named Les Plastiques Synthétiques collaborated with the founder of the company to design ski boards. And from there, the Dynastar Company was born.

The Dynastar Company is now owned by the Rossignol Company, but it functions independently from them, manufacturing unique lines and sets of boards with the Dynastar brand. The Dynastar Company is praised for its high quality products, and is once awarded as one of the best winter sports company.

The Dynastar skis are designed specifically for aggressive skiers. It sacrifices some attributes in favor of speed and power, but it doesn’t neglect balance and control entirely. This is the biggest difference between Dynastar skis and Rossignol skis. While the Rossignol prefers all-around balance on speed, controllability, and power, the Dynastar products are focused on speed and power, with balance and control as second priority. With its focus more on power, Dynastar skis are mainly used by intermediate-level and expert skiers only, as newbies and beginners may have a hard time handling the board due to its low controllability.

Dynastar skis are usually large, even larger than that of Rossignol’s Oversize ski family. This is purposely done to add speed and power to the board, as a larger board is easier to gain speed than a smaller, narrow-waisted board. The board is made from the same wood core used by Rossignol to add the needed durability and toughness to the board in order to withstand the bumps and other hazards of the mountainous regions.

One unique feature of Dynastar skis is its twin-tip tail, which allows you to land and ski backwards. It is more for freeride and ski parks, but is now implemented on mountain and downhill skis. The advantage of having a twin-tip (tail) is that you don’t have to lose the needed speed while racing downhill; instead, you still have the same speed as you had before you jumped.

Some examples of well-known Dynastar skis are the Troublemaker Ski, which has great speed and power, coupled with great control, the Starlett skis, made for the adventurous and daring woman, and the Sixth Sense, which is the most aggressive ski in Dynastar’s ski collection. The latter is known for its durability, high speed ability and controllability; some experts even think Dynastar outdid themselves after releasing this “monster” of a ski.

Dynastar, according to professional reviews, lives to their name as one of the best ski manufacturers in the world. Their ski boards and other equipment are praised for its durability and power. The only negative point about Dynastar is that it caters to expert skiers only.

If you wish to buy Dynastar skis, you can either buy on hobby shops or through online retailers such as Evo.com. Be sure to contact your shop and ask if there any discounts or packages available to avail of freebies.
