The third board in the Seven Artistic Sins collection of Rossignol, the Rossignol Men’s S3 Pommier Skis represent the deadly sin of “Lust”. Incredibly fast and agile, and also stable, this board does it all, from catching big air in the park or going downhill skiing. It can handle off-piste and on-piste areas easily, without little to no difference in performance.
The Rossignol Men’s S3 Pommier Ski measures at 122mm / 92mm / 115.4mm (tip / waist / tail) at the largest board size of 180cm. The board is available on varying sizes, ranging from the smallest, 140cm, 150cm, 160cm, 170cm, and the largest, 180cm. Each size has its own sidecut measurements, often adding less than 2mm on each part. Each size also has its own different turn radius, with the smallest size (150cm) having a turn radius of 12.4m – useful for making smaller turns on narrow paths and tracks.
The board art was drawn / made by Andrew Pommier, hence the name of the board. Andrew Pommier lives in Vancouver, Canada. He has already designed for more than 40 boards, and Rossignol, recognizing his ability, hired him to design one of the Seven Artistic Sins. This year, his art can be seen on the S3, depicting people hounding for something, or someone. You can also see some lovestruck people around the board and some random creatures too. This design clearly depicts the sin of “lust”. And you too, later, will commit the sin of “lust” once you go for a ride with this board…
You may be wondering why you will commit the sin represented by this board. Once you try this board out, you will easily fall in love with this board. Whether you like skiing on backcountry areas or park and pipes, the Rossignol S3 Pommier Skis easily dominates both of them. Specially-designed for skiers who spend equal time in jibbing and in backcountry areas, you will, gradually, fall in love with this board and you’ll never let it go. And there you have it, you have already committed the sin of “lust”.
The board is constructed and made from THC2 Wood Core, which gives the durable attribute of the board, yet keeping its lightweight attribute. Weight Reduction system balances the board’s overall weight by placing fiber materials strategically around the board. This keeps the board balanced and at the same time, gives extra rigidity. The board is equipped with Rossignol’s patented Mini Rossitop cap. This is placed on the top of the ski to make the board able to withstand hard landings and bumpy rides usually experienced when riding downhill. And finally, to add to the toughness of the board, Visco elastomer inserts are also present, acting as shock absorbers to protect the board, as well as your feet, from damages and injuries. The board’s sidewalls are also angled at 30 degrees to improve the board’s edging ability and power transmission.
A unique addition to this board is the 3 Mounting Points technology. With this technology, you can adjust your bindings according to your style. Whether you are a freestyle fanatic, extreme freestyle skier, or traditional alpine style skier, you can adjust the board easily, and this requires no tools at all!
