Rossignol Men’s S4 Squindo Skis

Wrath: uncontrollable rage and fury. This best describes the Rossignol Men’s S4 Squindo Skis, not because it is uncontrollable, but because it can dominate any given snow condition. This board is recommended for expert jibbers, as this is mainly used for jibbing (80%) and all-mountain (20%).

The Rossignol Men’s S4 Squindo Skis is one of the seven boards designed to represent the Seven Deadly Sins. The board itself is a piece of art, depicting a skull with its top part severed and blood gushing out from it, and the jaw has been dislocated and somewhat elongated. It is designed to be like that to represent uncontrollable wrath. Once you try out this board, you will feel an uncontrollable urge to take on any mountain on any given snow condition, as the board adapts on the present snow condition.

Its sidecut measurements are 116mm / 84mm / 109mm (tip / waist / tail). The board is available in different sizes, 167cm, 174cm or the largest, 181cm. It has a wide turn radius of 21.4m (181cm).

As mentioned above, this board is especially made for jibbing, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be used on downhill and mountain tracks too, as it also does especially well on those too. What’s unique about this board is that it uses three different binding mounting points, each point representing a different style. With this feature, you can easily adjust the bindings to your desired point. So whether you’re into extreme freestyle, modern freestyle, or the traditional alpine style, the S4 handles it. You can’t go wrong with this board!

The S4 Squindo’s sidewalls are angled at a 30-degree incline. It not only improves the grip on hardpack, but also reduces the overall ski swing weight and enhances edging and durability. Rossignol also incorporated the same technology they used on the Zenith Oversize board, the scratch resistant Rossitop, to keep the board light and durable. The tips and tails are coated with a layer of Visco, or VAS (Vibration Absorbing System) materials, to absorb impacts and vibrations. The core is made from both poplar and fume-processed ash, which improves snow contact, and provides high responsiveness and lightness. The S4 Squindo also features Rossignol’s Weight Reduction System (WRS), a patented core design that groups strands of fiber along the core and sidewalls so that everything is aligned with the ski’s sidecut shape. By using this design, it allows for more structural integrity in your feet, giving the board excellent control and maneuverability. This board does not come with its own bindings, but Rossignol recommends using the SAS2 Ti 140 Wide Ski Brake Binding for better performance.

With its excellent design and adaptability to any given snow condition, this easily tears up the competition. Reviews by customers who bought this product are positive and there are no negative feedbacks for this board. Unfortunately, this has been long sold out on markets, but they are planning to release a new and updated 2011 version of this board, and the remaining six “Deadly Sins” boards.
