The perfect geometry system they used in designing the new bindings angles down the lateral arms of the heel piece so that the skier can apply greater pressure to the edge of the ski with less energy loss.

The interface between the boot and binding was also enhanced because the forward pressure from the bindings was increased by 30%. Because of this, rebound and responsiveness was improved. Another innovation was the 25mm of elastic travel they placed in the heel making it the longest elastic travel used in a binding in history. What this does is it increases the stiffness between the boot and the binding thus resulting in easier and more power transferred from the rider to the snow. Last, Rossignol’s new wide brake binding uses a solid AFD which creates a positive interface between the boot and the binding.
